Notta Introduces Memo Pro in the U.S. With a Color Display, USB-C and Automatic Wi-Fi Sync

Distributed by PostHackers · Originally issued via PR Newswire

Drawing on everyday feedback from original Memo users, the new AI recorder makes recording status clearer, charging simpler and transfers less dependent on a phone, while connecting conversations to Notta's online meeting tools and AI agent.

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6, 2026 — Notta, an AI notetaker and transcription platform, today introduced Notta Memo Pro, the next generation of its portable AI voice recorder, now available for U.S. preorder starting at $189. Building on the original Notta Memo, Memo Pro adds a 0.95-inch color display, built-in USB-C, automatic switching between call and in-person recording modes, and background uploads over configured Wi-Fi networks. Storage has also doubled to 64 GB.

Notta Memo Pro

The changes grew out of the details of using the first Memo every day. In user feedback, portability and the ability to start recording quickly stood out as strengths. Alongside those benefits came practical requests: a clearer way to tell whether recording had started, an alternative to carrying a dedicated charging cable, and less attention spent on phone connections and uploads after a meeting.

Those experiences gave Notta a starting point for the next generation. A recorder that people carry every day should be ready when a conversation begins, give them confidence while it continues, and help the recording find its way into the work that follows. Notta has also doubled the monthly transcription allowance included with its devices, from 300 to 600 minutes.

"We want people to press record and give their attention to the person in front of them," said Ryan Zhang, CEO of Notta. "Our first users helped us see how much that depends on the details: the status on the screen, the cable in their bag, and what happens to a recording when the meeting ends. Those moments shaped Memo Pro. We also wanted the conversation to remain useful when it was time to write the next email or prepare for the next discussion."

From Everyday Feedback to the Next Generation of Hardware

See recording status at a glance.
Memo Pro's 0.95-inch color display shows recording status, duration and battery level, so a brief glance during a meeting can confirm what the device is doing. When a client confirms a budget or a team reaches a decision, a short press of the button marks that moment for review in the transcript.

Charge with the USB-C cable already in the bag.
Memo Pro replaces the dedicated charging connection with a USB-C port built into the device. Users can charge with a standard USB-C cable or connect to a computer to transfer recordings through Notta Web, giving them another way to work beyond their phone.

Move automatically between calls and in-person conversations.
Users still start recording with the device's button. Once recording begins, Memo Pro detects whether it is capturing a phone call or an in-person conversation and selects the appropriate mode. Moving from a client call to a discussion around the table no longer requires a manual mode change.

Let recordings return to Notta automatically.
With the original Memo, users needed to open the Notta app to transfer recordings over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Memo Pro adds automatic background uploads over trusted Wi-Fi networks configured in advance. When users return home or to the office, recordings can upload without reconnecting to their phone or opening the app. Users choose which networks to trust. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Fast Transfer and USB remain available for users who prefer to manage transfers themselves.

Prepare for larger rooms and longer days.
Memo Pro increases storage from the original model's 32 GB to 64 GB and offers up to 50 hours of recording on a full charge. Its stated maximum pickup range is 26 feet (8 meters) in a quiet meeting room, accommodating conversations across different seating distances. At approximately 1.06 ounces (30 grams), the device can travel on the back of a phone in its magnetic protective case or be carried separately.

From a Client Conversation to the Next Piece of Work

The thinking behind Memo Pro extends to how people work across settings. A single project can move through phone calls, client visits and online meetings, with important details emerging in each conversation.

Memo Pro records phone calls and in-person discussions. For online meetings, Notta Bot can join sessions users cannot attend, or preserve video when a client demonstration or walkthrough needs to be revisited. Notta Desktop offers recording directly from a computer without a bot joining the call. These records can be kept in the same Notta account, ready to search, review and share.

Afterward, Notta Brain, Notta's built-in AI agent, can bring meeting records and reference materials together to help answer questions and prepare the work that comes next.

For example, a client may confirm the project scope in an online meeting, then revise the budget during an in-person discussion a week later. A consultant can ask Brain to use both conversations and an existing project brief to draft a client proposal, prepare a presentation for the next client meeting, or create a visual project brief showing the agreed scope and milestones. Brain can also draft a follow-up email covering the latest requirements and outstanding questions, while the user returns to the source records to check the details.

From the original Memo to Memo Pro, Notta's aim is to make recording fit more naturally into daily work: capture the conversation when it happens, then keep its context available for the next discussion, proposal or client update.
